A 14-inch laptop is about 32 × 22 × 2 cm and 1.5 kg; a tablet about 25 × 17 × 1 cm. Both fit a carrier or mailer easily by size — the real question is protection. In store, a flat-handle carrier is fine for boxed electronics. For shipping, a paper mailer only suits a device already in its retail box with padding; a bare laptop belongs in a carton with cushioning.
