Spirits and champagne bottles are the awkward cousins of the wine bottle. A 750 ml whisky bottle is often square-shouldered at around 9 × 9 cm, and champagne glass is thicker and heavier — about 1.7 kg a bottle. Both are commonly given as gifts, which is why they usually go into a twisted-handle bag rather than a plain carrier. The width, not the height, is where a wine-bottle bag most often falls short.

What to watch for
- Measure the widest point of the bottle, including any shoulder or embossing — a bag that is snug on a round wine bottle can be too tight on a square one.
- Presentation boxes for premium spirits change everything: size the bag to the box, not the bottle.
- For champagne, a heavier kraft (120 GSM or more) keeps the bag from bowing under the weight.

Questions
Is a wine bottle bag big enough for a whisky bottle?
Often, but not always. A single-bottle bag with a 12 × 9 cm base takes most 750 ml spirits bottles; wider decanter-style bottles need the next size up.
What about boxed spirits?
Boxed bottles are usually 10–11 cm square and 32–35 cm tall. Add the box as a custom item in the size finder to check the fit.
