A burger is roughly 11 cm across and 8 cm tall, and it is usually wrapped before it is bagged. The wrap has to cover the burger and fold under it, so the sheet must be the burger’s width plus twice its height — about 30 cm or more. The bag then has to cope with grease: plain kraft marks quickly, so food-service bags for burgers and fries are normally made from oil- and grease-resistant paper, and sized so the order sits flat rather than being stacked high.

What size wrapping paper for a burger?
A burger about 11 cm wide and 8 cm tall needs a sheet of at least 31 × 31 cm to wrap fully; 45 × 60 cm sheets can be cut or folded for larger burgers.
Do burger bags need to be grease resistant?
For hot, oily food, yes. Standard kraft absorbs oil within minutes and shows marks; grease-resistant paper keeps the bag clean and strong.
