What size pizza box do I need — and what bag carries it?
Pizza boxes are sold by the pizza size they hold, so a 12-inch pizza goes in a 12-inch box — about 30 × 30 × 4.5 cm. Going one size up is tempting but lets the pizza slide and the toppings shift. The harder question is carrying: a pizza box has to travel flat, so a carry bag needs a base at least as wide and deep as the box. Ordinary carrier bags are far narrower than that, which is why delivery pizza usually travels in a thermal bag or a purpose-made pizza carry bag.

What to watch for
- Match the box to the pizza, not the other way round — a snug box keeps heat in and toppings in place.
- Corrugated E-flute board with corner vents stops the base going soggy on longer deliveries.
- If you want a branded paper carry bag for pizza boxes, it has to be made to measure: the gusset must be at least the width of the box.

What size box is a 12-inch pizza box?
A 12-inch pizza box is roughly 30 × 30 cm with a depth of about 4.5 cm (12 × 12 × 1.75 inches).
Can I put a pizza box in a normal paper bag?
Not flat. Standard carrier bags have a gusset of 10–17 cm; a 10-inch box is 25 cm wide. A made-to-measure pizza carry bag solves this.
